I met Tracy Merry-Thomson three years ago We were both serving on a Board of Directors for a volunteer organization. Tracy was the director and organizer for Special Events and I was the director for an interest group of concern. During this tenure we became fast friends and I learned that Tracy had been struck with a virulent form of MS. My husband Harold Brend also has MS and her cause touched my heart. I joined Tracy with her Big Stick to raise money to find a cure. She is persistent, incredibly wonderful with people (who having met her, want to know how they can help), inventive and artistic. Working with her has been a growth experience in every aspect, even as a school teacher for twenty-five years, I continue to learn more from her.
